East GA – Former Textile Mill Property
Three year project involving a Georgia state designated Hazardous Site Index (HSI) property (state superfund) that had been initially identified as having soil and groundwater contaminated with chlorinated solvents, particularly TCE. Keiger Environmental, LLC conducted a soil and groundwater investigation and pprepared a Compliance Status Report (CSR) for the client prior to submission to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD). Completion of the CSR was accomplished which involved field work that included installation of multiple monitoring wells, various soil and groundwater sampling evolutions, and analytical reduction that eventually resulted in a finding by EPD of “No Further Action” being required and, ultimately, removal of the property from the state’s HSI listing.

South GA – Land Application Site
Land application site in Taylor County where non-hazardous liquid waste had been disposed of in an area identified and questioned by the GAEPD as a concern. Project required verification soil sampling & lab analyses to delineate area of concern and potentially remove any contaminated soil, should it be present. Analytical results and follow-up report indicated Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and total metals below detection and/or action levels and thus no need for further action.

Greensboro, NC – Furniture Distribution Center
Phase I – Environmental Audit – review and recommendations were made for real estate client prior to transfer of the property. Customer required additional investigation and potential soil sampling for specific areas near above ground storage tank near the rear of the building. Project is currently ongoing.
