IMPORTANT INFORMATION NECESSARY BEFORE PLANNING YOUR RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM

Before planning to design and/or install a rainwater harvesting system, several factors should be taken into consideration. These factors include but are not limited to the following:

• Rainfall Amount for the Local Area
• Roof Area and Type of the Building
• Available Space on the Lot and Type of Storage Desired (Above or Below Ground)
• Water Consumption (household or business size and needs)
• Intended use (potable, non-potable, irrigation, etc.)
• Subsurface Conditions for Above or Below Ground Storage Tank
• Height of the building and whether there heavy vegetation in the vicinity of the building which would result in heavy leaf and debris loading
